At Universal Art Supplies we offer a bespoke Canvas and Stretcher making service.

From 10 x 15cm up to 2M x 1.75M we can make them all.

We offer wooden stretchers in 2 weights and Aluminium stretchers for large sizes.

Wooden stretchers are available in depths of 1.5cm up to 30cm length and 2cm for sizes up from that.

Aluminium stretchers are have a depth of 4cm making them exceptional for larger works.

Crossbars are fitted as needed. As a rough guide we fit crossbars once the size goes above 120cm. They are available either as a single bar, 2 parallel bars or a cross. What is required will depend on the size and shape.

Custom Canvasses can be made with a selection of canvas, both primed and unprimed.

Pricing.

The variations are endless so contact us with your needs and we’ll be delighted to help. As a general rule custom canvasses are approximately 20% more expensive then ready made. Once the size goes above 1.5 x 1 M the price gets steeper due to the number of crossbars and time involved.
