All-round printing presses/etching presses

The SDZ 400 – 600 printing presses are the ideal presses for all printing techniques.

They are initially designed as excellent etching presses, but thanks to the driven printing table they are also suitable – without any conversion – for very soft print templates that do not tolerate high pressing pressure (styrene plates and corrugated cardboard). Etching, gravure printing, linocut, woodcut, any type of material printing, multi-colour printing: this all-rounder among the GEKO presses covers all printing techniques with the highest precision in printing.

The presses have a rack and pinion drive on both sides of the solid steel printing carriage and a gear drive for the bottom roller. The steel printing table is precision-milled plane-parallel on both sides and has a thickness of 20 mm. The side frames are made of high-quality cast aluminium (aluminium-silumin alloy), which offers great advantages over the grey cast iron we used in the past (reduced weight, greater strength, high material toughness, long service life, no casting cavities).

The presses are equipped with a 6-spoke steel wheel. The gearbox makes it easy to work even at maximum pressure. The rack and pinion drive on both sides ensures that the heavy steel pressure table moves with absolute precision. The pressure is set using threaded spindles with large star grips.
